Solo Lyre

Solo Lyre is a well-proven instrument with clear and balanced sound that is strong enough even for solo performances. Although the lyre relatively light and easily portable, its range reaches full four octaves, which is unprecedented among lyres of similar proportions. It combines the advantages of soprano and alto lyres in one instrument and even exceed the capabilities of a guitar in terms of range. The acoustic properties in the middle and high registers are comparable even with some concert instruments. Solo Lyre is a good and affordable option for lyre players who mean it seriously.

49 strings - range E - e’’’
Typical timber selection: spruce / maple, ash, oak

Alto Lyre

Alto lyre is the smallest instrument reaching to the bass register. It will find a good use in any smaller ensembles where a bass fundament is needed, although due to its range of nearly four octaves, it is also suitable for solo play. Despite the small size and reasonable price, the Alto Lyre has very good sound characteristics from warm basses to silver-clear tones in the high register. Alto Lyre is an excellent choice for beginners who are looking for good quality yet affordable instrument.

45 strings - range E - c’’’
Typical timber selection: spruce / maple, ash

Soprano Lyre

Soprano Lyre is a good choice for beginners as well as players who seek a light-weight and easily portable instrument. The shape is designed to allow comfortable holding and despite its small size it has very good accoustic properties and extended range in the low register. It excels with clear and bright trebles and the sound has overall a brighter character, yet the bass extension with softer and warmer tone color is there when needed. The Soprano Lyre is well balanced instrument with a pleasant, typical lyre sound in its whole range.

45 strings - range G# - e’’’
Typical timber selection: spruce / maple, ash
Small Soprano Lyre

Small Soprano Lyre is the smallest instrument of our chromatic lyres and the most affordable option to start with the lyre. It is best suited for smaller children but may as well be the choice for adults who are being drawn to lyres and want to try it out. The great portability and extremely light weight also makes this lyre a good companion while on the go.

35 strings - range e - d’’’
Typical timber selection: spruce / maple / beech plywood
Concert Lyre

Concert Lyre is the master-piece of our lyres. It comes as the result of a long term colaboration of an experienced lyre builder with a professional lyre player. With these instruments we always try to bring the best possible quality in every aspect of lyre building. Carefully selected timber along with the inovative technology of construction using carbon fiber result in exceptional sound characteristics. With an outstanding sound, great resonance properties, excellent responsivity and erognomic design, the Concert Lyre will satisfy even the most demanding lyre players.

We offer our Concert Lyres in two different sizes. The Large Concert Lyre with 61 strings spanning a range of 5 octaves has the fullest and richest sound without any compromise. The Small Concert Lyre with 53 strings and a typical concert lyre range maintains most of the advantages of it's bigger cousin in a slightly more compact and portable shape.

53 strings - range C - e’’’
